At the beginning of his sophomore year, Jake created a goal for himself to become less of a follower and more of a leader. Having been given the opportunity to attend the EDGE youth leadership seminar towards the end of the school year, he learned how rewarding, inspiring and exciting leadership can be. Since his introduction to Edge two years ago, he has been involved in over 120 hours of community service, mentoring two EDGE alumni, and being a part of various EDGE driven committees. Jake has wanted nothing less than to play a role in the introduction of EDGE Youth Leadership and to spread their message to young students all across California where they too will realize just how rewarding being a leader can be.
