EDGE Youth Leadership is an organization that is very close to my heart. As a sophomore, I was given the opportunity to attend as part of the 150 students who spend three days empowering each other to become leaders for themselves and others. 
This is a weekend filled with nothing but positivity and encouragement from every person involved. One memory I have is walking into the seminar and immediately feeling at home because of all the amazing people there. And by the end of it, I left as a member of the EDGE family.
I know that I would never be the same person nor leader I am today without having experienced EDGE. I left with a new sense of leadership in me and it has brought me so much confidence I have carried into my day to day life.
Throughout the weekend, us students were given many opportunities to learn what it means to be a leader. There were so many activities that brought us closer together as a group and opened our eyes to the strengths that we all carried. The speakers who came to talk to us shared powerful insight on what we can do for the world and what we can do for ourselves. 
It costs $250 for a student to attend EDGE. And we are proud to say that EDGE is completely free to every student involved, which is all because of our amazing sponsors and donors!
This year I am returning to EDGE as a staff member, and it would be so appreciated if anyone could donate to help support this outstanding organization and what it stands for, which is empowering California’s young leaders.
