Eleven years after attending the leadership seminar, I still consider EDGE Youth Leadership as a major game changer in my life. I was truly inspired to make a difference in my community and continued to move forward with that drive into my career and nonprofit work. Thank you EDGE for everything you have done for high school sophomores for the last decade, including all the speakers, panelists, special guests, Team Leads and Planning Committee members over the years... I wish you many more decades to come! 
The people who I've met through this organization are like family. During the year, we plan a leadership seminar for high school sophomores throughout all of CA with the intent of giving them the motivation to go back home and inspire others in their community. 

**We pride ourselves for not charging ONE DIME to any family or school of the student who is chosen by their school to attend this event. 

I chose $1000 as my goal because that is how much it costs the organization to pay for the expenses of 4 volunteers at the seminar for 3 days in Vallejo, CA. There are over 90 volunteers at this event, not including the students. I'm confident that you can help me achieve my goal, but if I make more, then together, we are relieving some of the effort of all volunteers to focus on various responsibilities.

I've chosen this nonprofit because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope you'll consider contributing as a way to celebrate EDGE's achievements. Every little bit will help me reach my goal.
