I have been involved with EDGE Youth Leadership since 2009, when I attended the weekend conference as a high school sophomore. Back then, it was called Northern California Youth Leadership Seminar (NCYLS), and while it's undergone some name and branding changes, the heart of EDGE has remained the same all these years. EDGE affected me profoundly all those years ago, giving me the confidence to uncover my passions, and the tools to go out into my community and make a difference. I have volunteered with EDGE ever since, and I am currently serving as Senior Director for the Alumni Committee.
One of the most unique things about EDGE that separates it from other leadership programs, is that it is 100% free for the students to attend - they don't pay anything. However, with food and accomodations, as well as amazing speakers and activites, it is not free to put on the weekend portion of our program. It costs $350 for each student, and $250 for each staff member to attend. That's where you come in - I need your help to raise my portion of the cost of attendance!
